Orlando le Fleming is a British bassist, composer, and educator working at the forefront of contemporary jazz and improvised music. A graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Music, he briefly played professional cricket before moving to New York in 2003, quickly becoming a sought-after sideman on the international jazz scene.

He has performed and recorded with artists including Jimmy Cobb, Branford Marsalis, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Bill Charlap, Billy Cobham, Shai Maestro, Joey Calderazzo, Kevin Hays, Wayne Krantz, Ari Hoenig and Jeff “Tain” Watts, and leads acclaimed projects such as the OWL Trio and Romantic Funk series. Now based in the UK, he tours globally and teaches a worldwide community of bass students.
